In Snowdonia - Rhyd Ddu

We had rented a small cottage, just for the two of us in Rhyd Ddu (pronounced hrreed thee), a tiny hamlet with one tea room and one pub north and in the shadow of Snowdon. The Welsh Highland railway stops here and there is also a path up to the top of Snowdon which starts from here. Hettie the dog is too elderly to attempt this.
On the morning of our first day here the weather was sunny but deteriorated during the day. Alan took his bike on a circular tour of Snowdon and I walked a boggy path with Hettie.
