Guernsey, 4th Day, mooching round the dump

Image
At the northern end of Guernsey, at Mont Cuet is a municipal rubbish and recycling facility. We had been told that it was a good place for birding so went to have a look. And so it was, as long as it was gulls that you wanted to see! Thousands of them crammed on to every rock. Alan stayed to look at them while I wandered over to the next bay along, the Baie de la Jaonneuse. Here there is a stretch of sand with a rocky area at the end. It also boasts a little Napoleonic watch tower, with a rather strange notice.
