Lakenheath RSPB Reserve - no bird photos included
Mid April saw Alan and I at Lakenheath with some other members of Cambridge Camera Club. I did take some bird snaps with my 70-200 zoom and a 1.7 teleconverter but in comparison to other peoples pictures they were pretty poor. There were some marsh harriers but they did not get close enough for me and we heard a couple of bitterns. The only trouble with doing landscape photography in a bird reserve is that when you start shooting everyone gets really excited and asks you what special bird you have seen. This only leads to disappointment! I did a mixture of straight and ICM shots. The combination of the golden reeds and the fresh spring green of the leaves was compelling. The last picture is a 'false multiple exposure' blended in photoshop
