We did a massive amount of stuff on our third day on Guernsey. We started in the morning by visiting Les Vardes Quarry, a working operation on the north of the island. The quarry produces aggregates and cement, and has recently installed a footpath around its rim to be used as 'nature walk'. This allows for splendid views over the vast quarry pit.
