Hey hey USA - 30th October - Kit Carson Graveyard

Towards the end of the afternoon we visited the Kit Carson Memorial Cemetery in Taos. It was interesting to see the American point of view on the Taos Pueblo massacre, as many of the American victims of the revolt are buried in this graveyard. As well as Kit Carson, who was a tracker, Indian fighter and later military man and Indian agent in New Mexico in the mid to late 1800's.

The information boards tell of the Taos rebellion and there are also some ordinary and some strange graves markers.

Lost in the cemetery
