Hey hey USA - 14th October - Walnut Canyon and a lot of sheep

We woke up early in our motel bedroom and set out for Carlsbad Caverns. When we were nearly there we noticed a sign on the side of the road saying 'Walnut Canyon Overlook.' Having time to spare we naturally stopped.

It was only a short walk from the road to see a line of cliffs which were being grazed by what looked like goats. A man with binoculars who was the only other person there, said that they were Barbary sheep that had been brought in to the canyon at some point. We saw some springs which apparently make the area, which lies in the Chihuahuan Desert, rich in fauna.
