Sheffield - the Kelham Island Museum

 


The Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield is dedicated to th story of steel making in Sheffield. It is situated in a very interesting area where the River Don flows through the city and the infrastructure is largely Victorian.

The River Don Engine the most powerful working steam engine in Europe at 12,00 horse power. Created to roll armour plating for ships.
