A Day in Glasgow

After a brief visit to the Lakes, Rene, Mairi and I drove up to Glasgow to see a rather poorly aunt. We  stopped at Gretna Green for coffee - always good for a bit of kitsch and then Pollock House in Glasgow. This is a wonderful oasis in the city which even has it's own herd of Highland cattle. We visited my aunt at the Old Victoria Hospital in Glasgow which is due to be closed next year.

The Premier Inn in the city centre saw us bedded down for the night. We managed to get a room on the top floor which has a great view over the city, although Rene was upset the windows didn't open!

All the pictures are taken with my Fuji XE1.
